What does the Bible say about those that teach and preach traditions, myths, fables and false doctrines as Biblical?

Mark 7:13 setting aside the word of God for your tradition that ye delivered; and many such like things ye do.’

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; :4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.

Titus 1:14 not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.

1 Timothy 1:3 As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus, in order that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, :4 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith.

1 Timothy 4:7 But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;

1 Timothy 6:3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine, and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, :4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, :5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.

Note: Most that teach and preach traditions, myths and fables are aloof of the truth and/or with a depraved mind. Some are only preaching and teaching for financial gain.

2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 John 1:9 Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. :10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; :11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

Note: Peter states that they have not followed devised fables. John states that anyone not teaching Christ should not be let into your house, and to even give them a greeting is participating in their evil.

This is not some person with a faith, religion, or religious doctrine that is in opposition to another.

This means anyone that teaches or preaches a doctrine other than Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. :4 For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.

Galatians 1:6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; :7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. :8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. :9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed.

Note: The Bible states that anyone that teaches or preaches a gospel contrary to Christ, then let him be accursed.

No one has any Biblical authority or reason(s) for adhering to any doctrine that cannot be found in the Scriptures.

Many times theologians use extra-biblical sources in support of their teachings, beliefs and doctrines. (See: ‘What does extra-biblical mean?’)
