Did Enoch and Elijah Die?

Did Enoch die?

Genesis 5:24 And Enoch was well-pleasing to God, and was not found, because God translated him.

Note: Translate means: to change; transfer; transport; to depart.

Enoch was translated, but this does not mean that he did not die physically.

According to Rom. 5:14 and 1 Cor. 15:22, Enoch died or the Bible is in error.

Romans 5:14 but death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a type of the coming.

1 Corinthians 15:22 for as all die in Adam, so also will be made alive in Christ,

Did Elijah die?

2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Note: The word ‘heaven’ is a correct translation, but the meaning for this word is sky, not God’s abode as many assume and believe.

Nowhere in the Bible does it state that Elijah did not die when he departed.

Enoch and Elijah were men. Did they die as all men do?

Can there be a debate that Enoch and Elijah did not experience a physical death  contrary to the scriptures?

Hebrews 11:13 and Romans 5:14, includes Enoch. There are no exceptions that can be found in the Bible to exclude Enoch.

Ones misunderstanding of the meaning of Hebrews 11:5 is the problem, not the Bible.

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated not to see death, and was not found, because God translated him. For before his translation, he had obtained witness to have been pleasing to God.

Note: Was the death that Enoch ‘did not see’ the prolonged death in the grave?

Neither Enoch or Elijah ascended to the dwelling place of God. The Bible is clear when it states:

“John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven”.

It is a fable and a theological traditional teaching, that Enoch and Elijah did not die.
